WitchiDesk is an independent gaming news and entertainment website dedicated to sharing the latest updates, stories, and insights from the world of video games. Whether you’re a casual player or a passionate gamer, our goal is to make gaming news easy to read, enjoyable, and accessible to everyone.
Our Journey
Before becoming Witchihare, our project went through several name changes as we faced the challenges of building and maintaining an independent website with limited resources.
Tim Ntendo (2019)
Our journey began in 2019 with Tim Ntendo, a website dedicated exclusively to Nintendo news and content. Unfortunately, due to limited funding for web hosting, the project was forced to pause operations within the same year.
Although short-lived, Tim Ntendo laid the foundation for what would eventually grow into a broader gaming media project.
Odd Deck (2024)
In 2024, we returned with a new vision under the name Odd Deck. Rather than focusing on a single gaming company, Odd Deck expanded its coverage to include the wider gaming industry, featuring news and content for PC, console, and mobile gaming.
Our mission was to create a more inclusive platform where gamers from every community could find useful, entertaining, and reliable information.
However, in September 2024, we discovered that the name had already been widely used by other creators and organizations. To establish a stronger and more unique identity, we decided to completely rebrand the project, including its name, logo, and overall vision.
Witchihare
The rebranding led to the creation of Witchihare, a new identity that represented our long-term vision as an independent gaming media platform. Under this name, we continued expanding our content while refining our editorial style and building a stronger community around gaming news and entertainment.
WitchiDesk
WitchiDesk was originally created as a smaller branch of Witchihare, sharing the same passion for delivering gaming news in a more relaxed, blog-style format.
Managed by a very small team—sometimes just one or two people—WitchiDesk focuses on covering topics that genuinely excite us. From major game announcements and hardware updates to industry rumors, indie games, and unique stories, we aim to share content that gamers will enjoy reading.
Our independent approach allows us to focus on quality rather than quantity. Every article is carefully written to provide clear, engaging, and informative content without the pressure of operating like a large corporate newsroom.
Looking Ahead
As our project continues to evolve, we have decided to consolidate our work under WitchiDesk. Over time, the content and activities of Witchihare will be migrated into WitchiDesk, making it the primary home for all of our future projects.
This transition allows us to focus our efforts on a single platform while continuing our commitment to delivering gaming news, updates, reviews, and stories for the community. As part of this process, Witchihare will eventually be retired.
